Bonne Maman Strawberry Jam Heart Cake

    100 g ground almonds
  • 120 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 130 ml grapeseed oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp pink food coloring (for the pink cake)
  • 125 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g praline
  • 25 ml grapeseed oil

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground almonds, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the grapeseed oil.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the mixture and mix well.
  6. Grease a loaf pan and pour in the batter.
  7. Lower the oven temperature to 165°C (330°F) and bake for 55 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes, then unmold the cake.
  9. Once the cake is completely cool, glaze it.
  10. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler, then add the grapeseed oil to obtain a smooth, shiny consistency. Stir in the praline.
  11. Pour the glaze over the cake to coat it completely and let it set before slicing
