Christmas night light Bonne Maman

- A jar of Bonne Maman hazelnut and cocoa spread (screen-printed jar)
- Transparent candle gel
- A very small battery-operated LED string light
- A wooden board measuring 20 x 20 cm and 18 mm thick
- A pencil / a ruler / a compass
- A jigsaw
- A drill with drill bits (+ a hole saw)
- A wood chisel
- Hot glue
- Small snowflake stickers (or a white marker)
Steps
- Heat the candle gel following the product instructions. At this stage, add the glitter.
- Insert the gold stars into the still-liquid gel, spreading them evenly with the help of a wooden skewer. Let it cool until the gel becomes translucent again.
- Draw a 15 cm diameter circle on the wooden board and cut it out using the jigsaw.
- Drill a hole in the center of the wooden disc (to allow the LED string light cable to pass through). On the underside of the board, hollow out a circle the width of the battery box to hide it (about 6.5 cm here), and also carve a groove on the top of the wooden disc to hide the string light cable (about 2 cm).
- Using the wood chisel, carve out the space for the battery box (and on the back as well to hide the string light wire).
- Glue snowflake stickers all around the edge, or draw star patterns with a white marker. Wind the string light cable through the hole in the wooden disc and glue the battery box underneath the base.
- Glue the Bonne Maman jar onto the wooden disc and enjoy the soft, warm glow of your Christmas night light.
