Vitamin Shots with Bonne Maman Bitter Orange Marmalade

  • 130 g fresh ginger, or 20 to 30 g ground ginger
  • 250 ml lemon juice (about 4 to 5 lemons)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 4 tsp Bonne Maman bitter orange marmalade
  • 500 ml milk
  • Optional
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 250 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Steps

  1. Thoroughly wash the ginger and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a powerful blender: ginger, orange juice, lemon juice, turmeric, and black pepper. Blend for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth. The acidity of the lemon acts as a natural preservative, and the combination of black pepper and turmeric increases the bioavailability of the active compounds.
  3. Then strain the mixture through a fine cheesecloth or a very fine sieve over a bowl. Press the pulp well using a spoon or spatula to extract all the liquid.
  4. Pour into small empty Bonne Maman jars. Ready to serve!
